The FIS (International Ski Federation) has confirmed that Chamonix will be one of the venues the Ski World Cup 2010/2011 season.
The FIS has just issued a press release confirming that the FIS Council decided on the Audi FIS Ski World Cup calendar 2010/2011. The good news is the Chamonix Valley will again host the Men’s Downhill ski competition on Saturday 29th January 2011 and the Super Combined (downhill and slalom) on Sunday, 30th January 30th.
Both of these Chamonix events will be held on the mythic “Verte des Houches”, which has a long history of hosting Ski World Cup events.

- Chamonix: Ski World Cup
When the Ski World Cup comes to town, its always a lot of fun as the whole village gets taken over by the spirit of the occasion for the weekend. There’s a great crowd atmosphere around the finishing line, plus the all important giant screens showing the competitors progress right from the starting gates at the top. Access to the slopes during the event is also easy, and is well recommended, as it gives you a real up close and personal view of the awesome speeds at which the competitors come flying down the run.
At the time of writing our chalet accommodation for the Ski World Cup is still available. Please click here for more details or here to make an enquiry.
